We serve the needs of clients nationally from offices in Sydney and Melbourne. This role is Sydney based but will involve some interstate travel.

About the role

The primary focus of the role is to provide clear and accurate research and insights for our clients’ development projects and operations. You will do this by leading a small, integrated team of analysts researching residential property, retirement communities and aged care and providing detailed market assessments and other types of customised reports that help our clients make key business decisions.

The responsibilities of the role include management of multiple projects while driving innovative thinking that supports delivery of well-reasoned, leading-edge reports and advice. Exceptional research capabilities and communication skills are essential to meet the requirements of this role. Sector understanding would be viewed very favourably.

Key accountabilities of the role are:

  • Scoping projects, and preparing well written proposals for client approval that include clear objectives, timings and accurate costings
  • Oversee data collection, research and analysis and financial modelling that are integral to our clients’ decision making processes.
  • Preparation of concise and well written reports that display a high standard of written English
  • Articulate the outcomes of research both internally and to clients
  • Help build and strengthen client relationships in order to grow our business

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will have completed as a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Accounting and/or Statistics) and have a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role within a busy consultancy or research agency.

Please note that relevant experience in a property economics consultancy, large provider of retirement living and/or aged care, valuation agency or relevant government department will be highly regarded.

You will have had some exposure to the management of professional staff, and must be proactive, well organised and detail focused to succeed in this role.
