IST24 news: Our seventh Study Tour kicks off!

Twenty distinguished Australian delegates have joined One Fell Swoop hosts Christopher Rooke, Stuart Nicolson and Rob Macpherson, and co-host Marchese Partners’ Stewart Dean on IST24. This year we’re visiting the UK and Italy, beginning in London, with stops in Bath, Bristol, Venice, Florence, and Siena.

We kick started the tour on Sunday, with a fun London discovery day. Delegates visited Buckingham Palace and Tate Modern, topped off with a welcome rooftop cocktail party, before settling in for their stay at Art’otel London Battersea Power Station.

On day two, we toured historic Battersea Place, followed by a deep dive working lunch with Loveday, then a tour of the iconic Royal Albert Hall. In the afternoon we toured the award-winning The Landsby before an evening of fun at musicals and dinner.

Day three was jam-packed with eye-opening tours and deep learnings. Delegates visited two of London’s highest profile communities and were treated to masterclasses into their businesses to learn what sets them apart. These included Audley Nightingale and Auriens Chelsea. In the afternoon, there was an insightful presentation by Michael Voges, the Chief Executive of ARCO (Association of Retirement Community Operators).

On day four – our last full day in London – the group spent the morning soaking up everything there was to know about Riverstone Fulham and why they’re a leader in the UK sector. In the afternoon, we toured Wallacea, independent senior living that is re-defining later living. Dinner was a treat – Gordon Ramsay’s Lucky Cat in ritzy Mayfair.
