Stuart takes to the stage at National Retirement Living Summit (NRLS)

One Fell Swoop partner Stuart Nicolson will take to the stage on Wednesday this week as a session moderator at the National Retirement Living Summit (NRLS), one of the retirement living sector’s premier industry gatherings.

Stuart will be moderating a session called ‘Shared ground, stronger futures: where partnership meets potential’. It will be an exploration of how retirement village operators are unlocking growth through strategic partnerships with sports clubs, faith-based groups, RSLs and community organisations.

The session will examine why these partnerships are fast becoming one of the sector’s most compelling opportunities. Many of these organisations hold well-located land with untapped development potential, while also seeking new ways to strengthen their community mission and diversify revenue — making them natural collaborators for retirement living operators navigating an increasingly competitive site market.

Drawing on standout case studies, the panel will dig into how to identify the right opportunities, structure deals, navigate design and operational realities and build partnerships that genuinely deliver for both sides. Joining Stuart on stage will be Amanda Walker, Head of Property and Development at Tulich Group, and Tom Roche, CEO of Pariter.

As well-located sites become harder to secure and demand for retirement living continues to climb, the conversation couldn’t be timelier. The session makes the case that the ability to think differently about land, capital and collaboration will be a defining capability for operators looking to grow in the years ahead.

We look forward to sharing key takeaways from the session afterwards.
